Tea exports play an important role in the Kenyan economy and the larger East African Community. According to Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA), common Kenyan statistics associated with the sector includes tea being a leading foreign exchange earner with approximately 26% of the total foreign exchange earnings, 7% of the GDP, supports over 5 million Kenyans, and earns over Ksh. 101 Billion in export earnings and over Ksh. 22 Billion in local sales.

We were delighted to welcome His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Mombasa Tea Auction hosted by EATTA.
The President visited the Tea Trade Centre and witnessed the tea sales on the auction floor. It was a proud moment for Rafica as the President watched the auctioning through our MarketCentre system.
